WHO ARE WE
The name Diamonds in the Ruff comes from Rachel's love of helping dogs in the shelter system. She believes you can find a Diamond in the Ruff at any shelter and turn them into a valued family member.
She currently partners with Grundy County animal control where she fosters dogs and helps place them into homes. She has fostered over 100 dogs over the last three years.

ABOUT US
Rachel began training and showing dogs when she was six years old. She first fell in love with dog training starting off in 4H competing with her Border Collie - Colt, who won the Illinois State Fair three times in obedience. They took third place at AKC Agility Nationals and competed all across the United States in high school. Rachel attended Missouri State University and studied biology. Now she spends most of her free time competing in disc, agility, obedience, and dock diving with her pack. She took third place at the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge Eastern Regional in freestyle flying disc and has the #5 Big Air Dock Diving dog in the world.
Rachel has been a professional performer with Stunt Dog Productions performing frisbee, dock diving, and tricks at NFL halftimes, State Fairs, and other events. She has traveled across the United States teaching disc and agility seminars. Rachel is an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator and has studied under both KPA and CPDT-KA certified trainers.
Rachel is a relationship based trainer. Focusing on training both human and dog to strengthen their relationship and strive towards a better life together.
